Research on China’s Coal Tar Industry, 2013-2017

Coal tar products play an extremely important role in the world chemical raw materials. The development of tar chemical is one of the very important topics in many countries. Countries are actively developing coal tar depth processing and new separation technology so as to produce marketable and high value-added new products.

During 2010-2011, China's coal tar annual production capacity is increasing year by year; the average annual growth rate is about 20%. But China's coal tar market is weak in 2012; its total production capacity is about 22 million tons, increasing 4.30% compared with 2011. In terms of regional distribution, affected by the raw materials, coal tar is still mainly distributed in North China and East China.

The operating rate of coal tar enterprises was not high in the first half of 2012, but the overall supply of coke in China still maintain a growth momentum. In the first half of 2012, China's cumulative production of coke was 221,761,000 tons; China's coal tar output was 8,870,440 tons, increasing 6.12% year-on-year.
With the continuous development of China’s economy and the increasing requirements of the environmental protection, the deep processing of coal tar become an urgent issue to solve. Seen from the current development status of coal tar industry, the domestic coal tar industry is at an important period of integration reform. Coal tar industry is developing towards the direction of centralization, fine separation, further processing and the synthesis of new materials. The development of coal tar industry depends on investment and the market. However, with the development of deep processing and the increase of product added value, technology occupies an increasing proportion.

Global and China Carbon Fiber Industry Deep Research Report, 2012-2015

Carbon fiber is a new generation of reinforced fiber, mainly used in the fields of aerospace, wind power, automotive, sports and leisure. Industrial applications like wind power, automotive and pressure vessel account for the largest demand for carbon fiber, which is more than 60%, followed by aerospace, with enhanced application and hence steadily increased demand; the growth of demand from sports and leisure has been relatively slow. The global carbon fiber demand maintained a CAGR of 14.1% in 2008-2012, and hit 54,500 tons in 2012.

In 2010-2012, as the demand for carbon fiber has been recovered, global leading carbon fiber manufacturers have accelerated the capacity expansion of carbon fiber. In 2012, the global carbon fiber capacity reached 114,000 tons, a year-on-year growth of 18.3%.

Due to the complex process and high technical content of carbon fiber Buy production, global carbon fiber capacity is mainly concentrated in Japanese and U.S. enterprises. Japan''s Toray, Toho and Mitsubishi Rayon, mainly engaged in the production of PAN-based small-tow (≤24K) carbon fiber, accounted for 2/3 of the global total small-tow carbon fiber capacity in 2012. Toray is the largest carbon fiber manufacturer in the world, with an annual capacity of 18,900 tons in 2012.

U.S. Zoltek and German SGL, mainly engaged in the production of large-tow (>24K) PAN-based carbon fiber, accounted for about 3/4 of the global large-tow carbon fiber capacity in 2012. Japanese Kureha, mainly engaged in the production of pitch-based carbon fiber, is the largest pitch-based carbon fiber producer in the world, with an annual capacity of 1,800 tons in 2012.

Stimulated by incentive policies and the gap between supply and demand, coupled with the gradual progress of industrial technology, China’s carbon fiber industry is ushering in rapid development. China’s carbon fiber capacity maintained a CAGR of 46.2% in 2008-2012, and reached 14,521 tons in 2012. As China’s carbon fiber production technology hasn’t been mature and most production lines are in the initial stage of production, the plant operating rate has been generally low. In 2012, the actual output was only 3,500 tons, and the import dependency rate was about 70%.

In 2012, China''s major producers of carbon fiber include ZhongFuShenYing, Jiangsu Hengshen, Tianhua Excel-Way, Weihai Tuozhan Fiber, HNCC Yongmei, etc. Among which, only ZhongFuShenYing and Jiangsu Hengshen each boast an annual carbon fiber output of about 1,000 tons, and an annual capacity of 3,000 tons at present.

In addition, there are about 38,000 tons of carbon fiber capacities under planning/construction in China. The projects to be put into production in 2013 include 2,000 t/a carbon fiber project of Kingfa, 1,500 t/a carbon fiber project of Sinosteel Jiangcheng Carbon Fiber, and 1,500 t/a carbon fiber project of Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical.

Global and China Carbon Fiber Industry Report, 2012-2015 of ResearchInChina mainly covers the followings:

--Global carbon fiber industry supply and demand, competition pattern and price;
--China carbon fiber industry supply and demand, import & export and price;
--China carbon fiber industry competition pattern, projects under planning/construction, supply and demand, consumption structure forecasts, etc.;
--Operation, carbon fiber business and development trends of nine carbon fiber production enterprises overseas;
--Operation, carbon fiber business and development forecasts of nine carbon fiber production enterprises as well as the development trends of 20 carbon fiber producers in mainland China.

Animal Vaccine Industry Research Report in China, 2013-2017

Animal vaccine sales amount in China was about CNY 7.11 billion (excluding net imports); the sales amount of swine vaccine and poultry vaccines were CNY 3.51 billion and 3.01 billion respectively, accounting for 49.4% and 42.3% of the total sales amount respectively. The market scale of China's animal vaccine is nearly CNY 10 billion in 2012.

Although there are nearly 60 animal vaccine manufacturers in China, the market share is concentrated in the hands of a few corporations. CAHIC, Qingdao Yebio Bioengineering Co. Ltd., Dahuanong, TECON and Chengdu TECBOND are the representatives of China’s animal vaccine industry. The five enterprises accounted for 37.9% of China’s animal vaccine market in the first half of 2012.

Among the key animal vaccine manufacturers in China, China Animal Husbandry Industry Co., Ltd (CAHIC) obtained the highest business income in the first half of 2012—CNY 964 million, accounting for 14.3% market share. TECON, Dahuanong and Jinyu Group also had more than 5% market share respectively. The sales of these companies mainly came from the national mandatory vaccine procurement policy. The proportion of the national mandatory vaccine procurement accounted for 82.7% of CAHIC’s total income in the first half of 2012.

In recent years, animal mandatory immunization coverage is gradually expanded in China. Restricted by the economic conditions, compulsory vaccination epidemics only cover five kinds of animal disease. While there are about 17 kinds of animal diseases; other diseases also have great hazard. With farming enterprises and farmers enhanced emphasis on the prevention and control of animal diseases, the demand of conventional vaccine at their own expense will be further improved in the future. Swine and poultry are the main species in China’s livestock breeding, newcastle disease vaccine and porcine circovirus vaccine will be the two conventional vaccines with very good market prospects.
